A High Wycombe family that puts on huge Christmas lights display every year has managed to raise over £600 for charity.
Created by the father and son team of Andy and Nathan Jocelyn on Bank Street, the family have managed to spread a bit of festive cheer in Buckinghamshire as their incredible decorations have attracted people from across the country to witness them in the flesh.
This has led the family to accumulate £605 which will go to the Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The family decided to go for the Coca-Cola Christmas lorry as this year’s theme.
They said: “As we approach the January 5 deadline for our charitable fundraising efforts in support of Great Ormond Street, I wanted to express my gratitude for the assistance we've received thus far.
“The dedicated support from Bucks Free Press, including their coverage and articles, has played a crucial role in expanding our reach and encouraging donations from our spectators.
“We have been provided with T-shirts and posters by the esteemed Great Ormond Street, which has significantly bolstered our cause.
The Jocelyns have created a reputation for producing some stunning light displays at Christmas time, which include recreating the Jolly Rodger from Peter Pan and the Hogwarts Express from the Harry Potter franchise.
The family have been putting up Christmas decorations since 2005.
That was when they first made an appearance in the Bucks Free Press newspaper, but it wasn’t until 2018 that the Coca-Cola truck was built in High Wycombe.
Here is a timeline of the recent Christmas light displays:
2018 - Coca-Cola Truck
2019 - Coca-Cola Truck
2020 - Coca-Cola Truck
2021 - Harry Potter Hogwarts Express Train
2022 - Peter Pan Jolly Roger Ship
