An EastEnders actor suffered an open wound whilst performing in a Christmas pantomime in Aylesbury.

James Bye, who is best known for his role as Martin Fowler on the BBC hit show, was starring as the Prince in ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’, in the Buckinghamshire town.

And in the first scene of their December 27 performance, the 39-year-old suffered a deep cut by accidently banging his head.

Despite the injury, he continued with the rest of the show and received a standing ovation.

At the end of that day’s production, his co-star Rhiannon Chesterton, who plays Snow White, posted a selfie of the two to her Instagram Story.

She said: 'Look at our brave Prince, @jimmybye.

“Split his head open in the first scene, carried on and decided to 'make a thing of it so strapped up his arm for good measure.”

This year’s pantomime began on December 1 and will conclude on January 3.
