However, these works have now been delayed due to recent bad weather brought by Storm Isha, Buckinghamshire Council said.

A council spokesperson said the recent adverse weather have "resulted in us having to reschedule the planned works on Preston Hill, Birch Way, Cherry Tree Walk, Russell Court, Chesham, to a later date."

"Residents impacted by these changes will receive a letter outlining the situation and will be provided with an update shortly," the council said.

The new date will be confirmed at a later date.
