FIVE leisure centre's across Buckinghamshire will run by a new company promising to bring discounted membership rates.
Buckinghamshire Council has announced it will be partnering with Serco Leisure to manage Aqua Vale Swimming & Fitness Centre, Swan Pool & Leisure Centre, Evreham Sports Centre, Beacon Sports Centre and Theatre, and Little Marlow Running Track, with the contract starting on April 1, 2024.
A competitive procurement process led to the decision, hoping to produce positive financial and community benefits.
Existing memberships will roll over to the new provider.
Simon Lane, Serco Leisure’s Managing Director said: “I’m absolutely delighted at this news, which allows us to extend our current relationship with Buckinghamshire Council. We are eager to get started and are looking forward to making a positive impact within the community.”
