Labour's shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves visited High Wycombe on Saturday, February 3, to support the local candidate's bid in the upcoming general election.

Buckinghamshire has long been considered a Conservative stronghold.

Speaking to a room full of activists and supporters at the Royal British Legion, Cock Lane, Rachel made clear that the path to a Labour government runs through Wycombe, and that this changed Labour Party can win in Wycombe for the first time in a generation.

Emma Reynolds said: "I was thrilled that Rachel came to Wycombe to launch my election campaign.

"After 14 years of Tory failure, more and more people are voicing their dissatisfaction with this government and are advocating for change.

"My top priorities are Bolstering additional funding for our local hospital, ensuring people have better access to Doctors, aiding people with escalating bills and food costs, addressing the climate crisis, cleaning up our polluted rivers and making certain all of our children receive the very best education."

She further voiced concern over Wycombe's potential and the need for a Labour MP collaboration with a Labour government for a superior future for all.

On the other hand, Rachel Reeves said: "People across the country are ready for change.

"After 14 years of failure under the Conservatives, it’s time for a fresh start here in Wycombe with Emma Reynolds, and a Labour government in Westminster... Emma has the skills and experience to deliver positive change for Wycombe.

"Labour has a plan to deliver more jobs, lower bills, and a growing economy that will benefit the whole country...Only a vote for Emma Reynolds here in Wycombe will help us get the country’s future back."
