Earlier this month, a member of the public (who wanted to remain anonymous), visited our offices in Loudwater and gave us two photos.

They explained that they had been left ‘for several years’ at a general practice along the Oakridge Road District in High Wycombe with little or no explanation.

The images, which were professionally taken, show a wedding taking place in what we believe is within the town.

However, no date or name is accompanying the images.

One of the snaps shows a group photograph of the bride and groom with their respective family members, whilst the other displays the happy couple cutting their wedding cake with relatives standing nearby.

The only bit of information that we have is that both images were taken by Ronald ‘Ron’ Goodearl.

Mr Goodearl worked as an electrician but had a keen interest in photography, becoming freelance where he worked for the Bucks Free Press for several decades.

He was born on October 31, 1909, and died at the age of 88 on October 18, 1998 – two weeks before his 89th birthday.

If anyone knows who these images belong to, please get in touch as we would love to hand them back to the family in question.
