The Chesham community is gearing up for a unique and delectable experience as it hosts its first-ever 'World Food Tasting' event.

On Saturday, February 10 at the town’s Guide Hut, the celebration of culinary diversity aims to unite residents with the universal language of food.

The three-hour festivity will showcase a rich tapestry of flavours from various regions, focusing on Asia, the Far East (Chinese and Japanese), and Northern European, Mediterranean, and African-Caribbean cuisines.

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a few items from a delightful array of finger foods, including vegetarian options, ensuring a culinary experience that caters to all palates.

The 'World Food Tasting' event is a true reflection of community spirit, with residents coming together to organise and participate in this event.

To add an extra layer of excitement, the 'World Food Tasting' event will feature a raffle with tempting prizes. Profits generated from the raffle will be donated to World Central Kitchen, a charity dedicated to providing meals to those in need during times of crisis.

A spokesperson linked to the foodie afternoon said: “The event is made possible with the support of the Liberal Democrats, who are actively involved in both administrative tasks and on-the-day organisation.

“The Liberal Democrats are also underwriting much of the cost of the event, ensuring that the focus remains on celebrating diversity and fostering community connections.”

The event will take place between 2pm and 5pm, with tickets being £4 each.
