Those stopping off for a quick bite to eat in Beaconsfield would have got more than what they paid for, as it’s been rumoured the Liverpool FC team bus was spotted at the town’s service station.
It’s been suggested that Jurgen Klopp and his players visited the M40-based establishment on February 24, one day before they took on Chelsea in the EFL Cup final at Wembley Stadium.
The Reds, who had won the competition nine times before this season, were victorious in North London on February 25, as a Virgil van Dyke header with three minutes remaining of extra time sealed the Merseyside club’s 10th triumph.
It’s also the second time they’ve won the cup in three seasons.
Whilst it has not been confirmed, several users of social media have claimed that the six-time European champions stopped off at the third-best service station in the UK.
It’s not the first time the team bus has been seen in the county, as in January 2022, the coach made an appearance near Beaconsfield as Liverpool made their way over to Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park.
