A man must pay compensation to a woman after assaulting her.
Shaun Garrett, 47, of Willowmead Gardens, Marlow, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault by beating.
The facts of the case are that, on June 29 last year, Garrett attacked a woman in Marlow.
He appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on February 29 to answer to the charge.
Magistrates fined Garrett £276, and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation to his victim.
No restraining order was imposed in the case, as Garrett has not offended since the assault - and there were concerns he may not understand the terms of any such order.
