Heavy delays are expected in Chesham due to a road closure at the bottom of White Hill.

The cordoned off area of the town is due to ‘essential repairs’ a section of the road being open via a one-way system.

Additionally, traffic is probable along Broad Street, which connects to White Hill and St Mary’s Way in the town.

This is because of electrical works that began on March 12.

They are expected to last until March 18.

Those who regularly visit that stretch of road would be advised to find an alternative route until the works conclude in the middle of the month.

Other works in the town include road repairs along Bellingdon Road, which are due to finish by March 13.

The A416 that leads motorists into Chesham from Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire can also see heavy congestion due to ongoing water repairs.

This should finish by the end of April according to the One Network website.
