Flood alerts are in place across Buckinghamshire today amid rising river levels.

Flood alerts remain in place along the River Thames in Marlow, Bourne End and Medmenham today (March 15), with no property flooding currently expected but low-lying land remaining at risk over the weekend.

Those living close to the River Wye from West Wycombe to Cores End, including the Hughenden Stream, have also been told that river levels will remain high following heavy showers forecast for this afternoon.

A similar warning has been given to residents near Colne Brook in Iver, and the Environment Agency is also continuing to monitor groundwater flooding in Chesham, with levels expected to remain high around Ashley Green over the coming weeks.

People living near the Horsenden Stream in Princes Risborough have also been urged to avoid using low-lying footpaths, with river levels expected to remain high into next week.

The government agency will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates.
