A High Wycombe food charity has recently been given a King’s Award.
The One Can Trust, which provides canned goods to those in the town and the surrounding areas, received the prize on March 12 following a visit from the HM Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Countess Howe.
The charity’s trustee chairman, Andy Ford, then gave her a tour of the premises.
A spokesperson from the charity said: “The award is equivalent to an individual being awarded an MBE, and we could not be happier for the One Can volunteers. With the award, two volunteers will be attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace which is such an incredible opportunity.
“Thank you One Can volunteers!
“You are all incredible and make such a positive difference to our community. “
