WEEKLY round up of hearings at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court.

SIMON JOHNSON, 45, of Bull Lane in High Wycombe, convicted of stealing £80 of meat from Iceland in High Wycombe on February 24, 2024. Sentenced to 8 months in prison due to severity of the offence and ‘appalling history’ of similar offending. Also ordered to pay £80 compensation and £85 court costs.

HAZEM AHMED, 20, of Montague Road, Aylesbury, convicted of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour to cause alarm or distress in Aylesbury on October 3, 2023. Fined £120.

NATHAN PLATT, 22, of Woodford Close, Aylesbury, convicted of drug-driving in High Street, Winslow, on August 20, 2023. Found to have cocaine in their system. Given a community order to comply with drug rehabilitation activities and must undertake150 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £114 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

ANGELA EWART, 61, of Town End Crescent in Stoke Goldington, convicted of using a vehicle without the correct insurance in Newport Pagnell, on July 25, 2023. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £90 court costs and £48 victim surcharge. Six points added to driving licence.

MARIAN-ALEXANDRU NEDELCIOIU, 23, of Godron Road, High Wycombe, convicted of drug-driving in London Road, High Wycombe, on August 28, 2023. Found to have cocaine in their system. Also convicted of using a vehicle without the correct insurance on the same date and location, and convicted of driving while disqualified also. Fined £692. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £1,845 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

ASHLEY JOSEPH, of Hotel Grove Road, Bucks, convicted of being in charge of a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit in Mill Meadows in Henley on Thames on June 24, 2023. Found to have 73mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Also convicted of failing to surrender to custody of Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 4, 2023. Fined £633. Also ordered to pay £150 court costs and £253 victim surcharge. Ten points added to driving licence.

ROBERT CRAIG, 61, of Fairmile, in Aylesbury, convicted of assault by beating in Aylesbury on February 17, 2024. Fined £473 and ordered to pay £100 compensation. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £189 victim surcharge.

ALAN YEARWOOD, 50, of no fixed abode, convicted of assault by beating in Aylesbury on July 23, 2023. Sentenced to six weeks in prison due to severity of the offence and the effect of the assault on the aggrieved. Must also pay £200 compensation.

JAMES MASON, 57, of Ellen Road, Aylesbury, convicted of assault by beating in Aylesbury on December 1, 2023. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and 80 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £200 compensation. Made subject to a restraining order.

GILLIAN MARRIOTT, 56, of Bracken Way, Aylesbury convicted of possession of a knife in public in Oxford Road in Aylesbury on December 28, 2023. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and fined £120.

JEREMY BLAKENEY, 52, of Franchise Street, Chesham, convicted of driving without due care and attention on the roundabout in London Road West, Amersham, on August 22, 2023. Fined £80 and ordered to pay £110 court costs and £32 victim surcharge. Six points added to driving licence.

KENNETH AGUILAR, 18, of Oxford Road, Aylesbury, convicted of driving without due care and attention in public in Winchendon Road, Cannons Hill, on August 24, 2023. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £110 court costs and £48 victim surcharge. Nine points added to driving licence.

HARLEY JONES, 27, of Elora Road, High Wycombe, convicted of driving a vehicle without due care and attention in Totteridge Road, High Wycombe, on August 20, 2023. Fined £660 and ordered to pay £110 court costs and £264 victim surcharge. Seven points added to driving licence.
