A man from High Wycombe has been jailed after police found a pistol, a revolver and 'destructive ammunition' in his car.
Hassan Ruhan, 25, of Suffield Road, was sentenced to five years in prison for firearms offences in a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday, April 3.
He was also sentenced to forfeit two firearms and "ammunition for destruction".
Police found a pistol, revolver and ammunition in a car outside his address during a warranted search in May 2022.
He was charged in the same month and pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a firearm and one count of possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate at Aylesbury Crown Court in October 2022.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Joe Windsor, of the South Buckinghamshire CID team, said: "Tragic events elsewhere in the county show just how dangerous these weapons are to innocent members of the public and I am glad they were seized before they were able to cause devastating harm.
"I am pleased that Hassan Ruhan will now face a lengthy prison sentence.
"We will always work with our partners to take these weapons off the streets and bring the people who use them to endanger our communities to justice."
