A woman from Amersham and a man in his 50s has died following a three-car crash near Peterborough.
The incident happened on the A16, between the city and Newborough, around 3.30pm on Monday, April 22.
The victims, a woman in her 70s and the driver of the Prius, a man in his 50s , were declared deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Volvo, a man in his 70s, also from Amersham, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries.
The accident involved a blue Volvo V40 heading north towards Newborough, a brown Toyota Prius going south, and a red Ford Kuga also heading north.
After the initial collision between the Volvo and Prius near the "blue bridge", the Prius further crashed into the Kuga.
The Kuga's driver, a man in his 60s from Liverpool, sustained minor injuries.
Det Insp Garry Webb, from Cambridgeshire Police, said: "I would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who has dashcam footage of the collision which could help us piece together what happened in the moments leading up to the crash."
