A DARK grey Volkswagen car has been used as a getaway vehicle during an 'attempted burglary' in Denham.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for details after 'three white offenders' were spotted attempting to break into a home in Woodhurst Drive on Monday, April 22.

It happened about 3.15pm when the force said neighbours spotted a dark grey VW Golf being driven up and down the street by one of the offenders.

The other two offenders broke into the rear of the property and stole a jewellery box.

Officers said while the pair were breaking into the property, the dark car was driven up and down the road and when the trio realised neighbours had seen what was happening, all of the offenders then left in the vehicle in the direction of Denham Green Lane.

Investigating officer PC Natasha Burns said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to this attempted burglary, or anyone with information which could help our investigation, to please come forward.

“Anyone with information should call us on 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240177595.

“Alternatively, call the independent charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
