SEVERE weather warnings remain in place in the county this evening after flooding in the west earlier today.

More than half a month’s worth of rain fell in one day in some parts of the country.

And the rain is expected to head east this evening.

The Met Office said there was a “moderate risk of a severe weather” in Buckinghamshire.

It will lead to scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Earlier today 13 houses in Lydney in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, flooded for the second time this year after two inches of rain fell.
