A 62-YEAR-OLD man denied an allegation of raping a girl in 1980 when he appeared at court today.
Geoffrey Stoneham, of Alamein Road, Swanscombe, Kent, pleaded not guilty to the charge of rape at Aylesbury Crown Court.
He is alleged to have attacked a girl, aged 17 at the time, in Micklefield Road on April 25 1980.
Stoneham was granted bail by Judge Seddon Cripps, with a condition of residency. The defendant was also ordered to surrender his passport.
He will return to court for trial on June 1 next year.
