MORE than a thousand pancakes will be served to hungry residents of Chalfont St Giles to raise money for charity next week.
The annual pancake cafe is to open on Tuesday in the Reading Room, High Street, between 9am and 6pm.
It will be the twelfth year the cafe has been running, with all the profits going towards High Wycombe-based charity Biblelands and missionaries from the village working in Papua New Guinea.
Pancake races will also be taking place on the Village Green from 11.45am.
Lent lunches are to be served at the Reading Room each Friday from next week until Easter between 11.30am and 2pm.
