FREE theatre tickets are now up for grabs for anyone aged under 26, thanks to a new scheme launched by Arts Council England.

The scheme, known as A Night Less Ordinary, and which is in association with Metro, will operate at more than 200 venues across the country and includes the Wycombe Swan and Oxford Playhouse.

To celebrate the launch of the scheme, Wycombe Swan is hosting a free open day on Saturday, from 10am to 5pm, where visitors can watch performances from the Angika Dance Company and be in with a chance of winning tickets to West Side Story, which opens on Tuesday.

A host of shows are included in the Wycombe Swan free tickets scheme, including Sing-along-a-Hairspray on Wednesday, March 11, Horrible Histories: World Wars on Tuesday, April 14 and All The Fun of The Fair on Tuesday, April 21.

Oxford Playhouse is also offering 30 free tickets a week across all drama shows on the main stage and selected performances at the Burton Taylor Studio. The offer applies to Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday matinee performances only.

Free tickets are subject to availability. For a full listing of shows included in the scheme, visit www.anightlessordinary.org.uk, www.wycombeswan.co.uk and www.oxfordplayhouse.com
