YET again, the roads in High Wycombe have been closed due to the work on the new Sainsbury’s store.

Bellfield Road is again closed for weeks, so that Sainsbury’s can use it as an extension to their building site.

This causes major traffic problems for motorists coming from the West Wycombe Road way, to go through the town.

Who gives private companies permission to have the road closed for their own private use?

Do they pay for this privilege, and if so who benefits from it. Certainly not the council taxpayers.

The build up of traffic due to this building site, the poor sequence of the traffic lights along Oxford Road, and also the traffic lights on the roundabout all make driving a nightmare. Eden it is not.
