A YOUTH accused of the murder of a High Wycombe man has been refused bail by a Crown Court judge.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Reading Crown Court for a preliminary hearing after being charged with the murder of Jourdan Griffiths.
Mr Griffiths, whose funeral takes place today, was stabbed in White Hart Street, High Wycombe, on June 29.
During the hearing, which took place in private, the youth's defence team made an application for him to be released on bail – which was refused by magistrates last week.
But Judge Zoe Smith also refused to grant the youngster bail.
He has been remanded into custody ahead of his next appearance at the same court on September 21.
He is due to enter a plea along with two other men who have also been charged with the murder of Mr Griffiths.
They are 18-year-old Lotto Williams, of Whitelands Road, High Wycombe, and 21-year-old Christopher Joseph, of Grenfell Avenue, High Wycombe.
Jourdan's funeral will held at 1.30pm today at St Andrew's Church in Hatters Lane.
