A CASH machine in High Wycombe was put out of action today after being blocked up with plaster of Paris.

Reader Martin Mitchell went to use the cashpoint at the Tesco Express in Marlow Road at lunchtime – only to find it had been vandalised.

The 44-year-old sales engineer, who sent in this picture, said: “I went in to the shop to buy my lunch but didn't want to use my debit card unless I had to.

“I went round the corner to use the cash machine. I got my card out and went to the ATM. I looked at it and thought, 'Hang on, something's not right'.

“I didn't realise what it was at first. I tapped it and it was rock solid.

“I've never seen anything like this before.”

Thames Valley Police were unavailable for comment.
