Residents oppose track at public meeting

HAZLEMERE residents turned out in force tonight to oppose the controversial plans for an athlectics track.

Angry residents packed the public meeting at the Hazlemere Community Centre to express their concerns to the leader of Wycombe District Council, Lesley Clarke.

Elaine Jewell and Catherine Silva Donayre, from the council, were also there to answer questions from members of the public on the plans to move the track from Wycombe Sports Centre to Sir William Ramsay School, Rose Avenue to make way for a coach station.

People who live next to the proposed site asked Cllr Clarke how she would feel to have the development in her back garden over worries of the disruption it would cause.
