A FORMER furniture factory in High Wycombe could be demolished to make way for new blocks of flats.

Plans have been submitted to build one block of eight flats and another of six on the site of the old JC and MP Smith factory in Princes Gate.

The company is now based in Spring Gardens in the town.

The proposals were made to Wycombe District Council by the Aragon Housing Association yesterday.

The following applications were also submitted to south Buckinghamshire councils yesterday.

Wycombe District Council:

Southside Farm, White Hill, Wooburn Moor. Certificate of existing lawfulness for the continued use of the land (as defined on the enclosed red edge) for storage purposes.

Lantern Cottage, High Street, Lane End. Householder application for erection of part single/part two storey front extension.

Bailiffs Cottage, Hunts Hill Lane, Naphill. Proposed extension of time limit to permission granted under planning reference 06/08037/FUL for a householder application for the erection of cart shed type car port.

52 Seymour Park Road, Marlow. Householder application for erection of 2.43 metre high close boarded fence to rear boundary.

147 Whitelands Road, High Wycombe. Householder application for erection of two storey side/first floor rear extension.

Baynards & Little Baynards, Wharf Lane, Bourne End. Demolition of existing dwellings & erection of two pairs of 3-bed semi-detached dwellings with integral garages, creation of new access , parking & associated landscaping.

J C And M P Smith, Princes Gate, High Wycombe. Demolition of existing factory and re-development of site to include the erection of 1 block comprising 8 x supported living flats with communal and staff facilities and a 6 bed car home with communal facilities and support staff accommodation with associated landscaping and parking facilities.

Chiltern District Council:

Amersham Free Church, Woodside Road, Amersham. Application for a non-material amendment to planning permission CH/2009/1043/FA - New glazed openings to south west, north west and north east elevations, erection of timber canopies to north west, south west and north east elevations, rendering of rear entrance and erection of disabled entrance ramp to south west of building.

No applications were received by South Bucks District Council.
