RE: Council may invest millions in new stadium for Wasps/Wycombe Wanderers – BFP, January 29.

IS this the same council that has invested millions in now failed Icelandic banks and who perplexingly plan to move the park and ride facility to the sports centre in order to move the sport facility (running track) three miles away into a residential area?

It is time, given the present dire financial climate, council officers and councillors curbed their expensive ambitions.

If council-owned land is to be sold, it should be exclusively for the benefit of the taxpayers and not to service a commercial rugby/football club, with a multi-millionaire owner.
