THE final council tax bills for Chiltern and South Bucks district residents was set last night – and you can see what you will pay below.

Chiltern District Council agreed a 2.5 per cent increase for its part of the final bill and South Bucks District Council decided on a 2 per cent rise.

It means an average Band D property in the Chiltern district will now pay £159.50 annually to the district council and £143 in South Bucks – increases of 7p and 5p per week respectively.

The move comes as the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, which borders South Bucks, announced a four per cent tax cut (see link, bottom of story).

Parish and town council tax rates within the districts have also been confirmed.

The highest rate in Chiltern will be paid by residents of Chesham, where the town council tax rate is £96.02 for a Band D home.

The lowest rate is for Chartridge residents, where the Band D rate is £11.37.

The highest rate in South Bucks will be paid by residents of Burnham, where the parish council tax rate is £91.53 for a Band D home.

The lowest rate is for Taplow residents, where the parish council takes £18.83 from a Band D home.
