GOVERNORS at Beaconsfield High School were "disappointed” after the woman who was due to take over as head teacher decided to not to take up the post for “personal and professional” reasons.
Sally Jarrett, who accepted the job last month and was due to take over in September, will now stay on in her deputy head post at Wycombe High School. She was unavailable for comment today.
Owain Johns will stay on as acting head at Beaconsfield High, a girls grammar school on Wattleton Road, as governors advertise the role again and start the application process from scratch.
Bob Gibbard, operations manager at Buckinghamshire County Council's school improvement service, said letters were sent out to parents at both schools yesterday.
