Pop starlet to play at Bucks library
A POP starlet is set to blast the bookshelves at Bourne End library when she plays an unusual show as part of a UK tour.
The 'Get it Loud' programme of live music in public libraries will see Daisy Dares You perform at the Wakeman Road venue on March 10.
The project aims to allow "more relevant cultural access" for youngsters who love music but don’t normally use libraries.
Organisers said it is proving a popular original format for delivering the traditional library brief to entertain, inform and educate.
Daisy Dares You has been picked by the BBC as one of 15 rising stars for 2010.
Tickets are £5 and are on sale from Bourne End Library lib-boe@buckscc.gov.uk or on www.seetickets.com.
