RE: Previous letters on the climate change debate, in which correspondents call for Anthony Weeden to provide evidence for his assertions about global temperatures.

ERIC Alexander certainly has a way with words! Firstly, he called me an ostrich, and then a few months ago he considered me insane. Now he feels I am being disgraceful. Clearly flattery is not one of Eric’s most endearing characteristics.

In April 2009, I sent Eric a collection of scientific papers on global warming together with a copy of the Central England Temperature records back to 1659.

Eric’s quick reply by email was “Having discovered your email address I’ll risk starting a dialogue. But please do not overload me with data”. He went on to say: “I don’t reckon arguing about climate change so important that I wish to wade through so much paper.”

All of the weather and climate data I quote all comes from reliable sources and is available on the internet. The evidence Eric Alexander demands has already been provided in my previous letters and emails and is also accessible on the internet.
