CAN I through your paper please say ‘Thank You’ to all the people who stopped, helped and contacted the emergency services and my family after I had a tyre blow out coming down Abbey Barn Lane this afternoon [Sunday].
My car ended up on the crash barrier just before the bridge at the bottom of the hill.
I was very shocked and don’t think I said Thank You to anyone, and they all really do deserve thanks for their actions and kindness as I was not in a fit state to do a lot myself.
So to all you good, decent people out there who stopped and got involved – THANK YOU.
It goes without saying that the police and paramedic response was brilliant, they kept me calm and carried out their jobs perfectly.
And apart from a bruised hand and numerous aches and pains I’m perfectly fine. Thank you.
