THE effect of a high speed train plan on Buckinghamshire will be discussed at Parliament today.
Aylesbury MP David Lidington has secured an adjournment debate in Westminster Hall for the debate.
It will discuss the Government’s High Speed 2 scheme, which the Government wants to run under the Chalfonts and Amersham and overground by Great Missenden.
This would be on a completely new track – with a ‘plan B’ planned to tunnel under Gerrards Cross and Hazlemere and overground at Hughenden valley.
House sales have fallen through since the announcement, a councillor said yesterday (see links).
