Blade (18)

Wesley Snipes is the half-man half-vampire trying to rid the world of his blood-sucking brethren in this violent superhero caper. HHH

Dead Man's Curve (15)

Two students take advantage of a clause that says a pupil whose room-mate commits suicide gets straight As. But as they head off to Harvard things get sticky. HHH

Dr Dolittle (PG)

Eddie Murphy can talk to the animals and understand them when they talk back to him. HHH

Elizabeth (15)

The story of England's virgin queen who refuses to live up to her name. HHH

The Exorcist (18)

The classic horror movie now digitally done up for the 1990s. You're mother still cuts socks in Hell. HHHH

Godzilla (PG)

Manhattan is levelled by a giant, radioactive reptile and only Matthew Brodrick can stop it. This summer's best blockbuster.HHHH

Lost in Space (PG)

Great start. Great ending. The bit in the middle sags like damp piece of chewing gum stretched between two chairs. Or something. H

Mulan (U)

Disney's animated version of the Chinese legend. A young girl dresses as a boy in a bid to stop her father from going to war. HHH

The Negotiator (15)

Samuel L Jackson takes the law into his own hands in a bid to flush out bent coppers. Kevin Spacey is the man trying to reason with him. HHH

Out of Sight (15)

Steven Soderbergh, that's Steven Soderbergh, directs this sexy crime thriller starring George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez. Not Barry Sonnenfeld as we said last week. Oops. Sorry. HHHHH

The Parent Trap (PG)

Remake of the classic Disney Hayley Mills film. Twin sisters swap places. HHH

Ronin (15)

Robert De Niro stars in this tale of terrorists brought together to do a mystery job. HHH

Rush Hour (15)

Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker team up in a Lethal Weapon-style caper that might finally get Chan into the big league. HHH

Saving Private Ryan (15)

Steven Spielberg directs Tom Hanks in this epic war movie about a group of soldiers who go behind enemy lines to rescue the last Ryan brother left alive. HHHH

Small Soldiers (PG)

The tiny troops are still implanted with the secret military micro-chips in this computer animated adventure for kids. HHH

The Spanish Prisoner (PG)

Steve Martin takes his first straight role in this story of industrial esponiage written by David Mamet. HHH

There's Something About Mary (15)

Cameron Diaz is still trying to fight off the advances of Ben Stiller's PI Matt Dillon in this outrageous comedy. HHH

The Truman Show (PG)

Jim Carrey gives the performance of his career as the man trapped in a village while under constant survaillance from the watching world. Nobody mention The Prisoner. HHHHH Insects, birds, bears, rabbits, monkeys
