IT IS quite disgraceful that the party of opposition on Wycombe District Council saw fit to walk out on a supposed matter of principle from the full council meeting held on Monday, October 26.
Cllr Coe was properly appointed to be Wycombe District Council's representative on the Liaison Committee for Westhorpe Farm.
Cllr Jennings, I am given to understand, has ample means of representation on this Liaison Committee but in no way could he be considered to be a representative of the council.
It is bad enough walking out of full council like a lot of spoilt children who cannot get their own way, but to leave their constituents unrepresented in discussions on the next agenda item, the matter of police manpower cuts in Wycombe District was to put it mildly a dereliction of duty!
But I doubt if we could have expected anything else.
To repeat what I said in council, the Conservatives have no idea of the philosophy or practical application of democracy.
