NOEL Edmonds and a BBC TV crew took over The Britannia pub in Little Marlow Road, Marlow, on Tuesday night and persuaded the customers to do silly things. Object of the exercise was to get film 'in the can' for a forthcoming series to be called the Noel Edmonds Saturday Roadshow. The show director explained: "We have been doing the rounds of various places for some time now and will be travelling to others. We want to get as much footage as possible."
A wide variety of activities were filmed both outside in the garden surrounding the pub and later indoors. Some of the stunts they got up to included one man being blindfolded and made to believe he was being hoisted over shoulder high by four burly men. He was then asked to jump the plank believing he had a drop of some feet. In fact the plank was three inches off the ground and when he did jump he fell flat on his face!
