THERE is continuing controversy about the various measures taken in High Wycombe to manage traffic. The considerable weight of opinion appears to be against most of them, but the council presses on regardless.
We are approaching the time when we can make our voices heard -- the local elections on May 6. This is the time when our local councillors are reminded of who is working for whom.
So if, like me, you have been appalled by positive parking, the Frogmoor traffic light fiasco by Safeway, the London Road bus lane, traffic lights at the Hamilton Road junction; or if you dread to think what idiotic plan they will come up with to replace the mini-roundabouts at the bottom of Marlow Hill; or if you find the park-and-ride proposals laughable -- then find out the views of your prospective council candidates, and if you don't like them, don't vote for them.
