Former QPR footballer Vinnie Jones is among the stars in this year's trendiest movie. East End boys pull off a drugs scam to pay back money lost in a card game. Nice lads. HHHH

The Magic Sword (U)

Young people save the kingdom from evil in this animated tale set in the times of King Arthur. HHH

Mulan (U)

A young woman dresses like a man to fight for China instead of her father. Not your usual Disney animated fare, and the songs are a little lax. But the whole family will enjoy. HHH

A Perfect Murder (15)

Michael Douglas wants to bump off screen-wife Gwyneth Paltrow for having an affair in this remake of Dial M for Murder. Come on, Michael, she's gorgeous. Live with it. HHH

Paulie -- A Parrot's Tale (U)

The feathered one is still searching for a friend lost a long time ago. HHH

Small Soldiers (PG)

The minature troops are given the wrong microchips by mistake and wage war on their fellow toys. Toy Story meets Rambo. Sort of. HHH

Steven Spielberg fights them on the beaches and then fights them on French soil as his ragtag band of soldiers goes in search of the last-surviving Ryan brother. Harrowing. HHHH

Cameron Diaz stars with her then flame Matt Dillon in this anarchic comedy from the creators of Dumb and Dumber. HHH

The Truman Show (PG)

Jim Carrey excels himself in this story of a man who has unknowingly lived his whole life in a soap opera beamed to the world. One of the most innovative films of the year. HHHHH
