Here's a run-down of the films showing in the area this week.

Antz (PG)

The animated ant colony goes to war, has a revolution and provides the backdrop for Ant Z's (Woody Allen) love life. With Sylvester Stallone, Sharon Stone and Christopher Walken.

Babe: Pig in the City (U)

The little pig comes to the city to save Farmer Hogget's farm and meets new friends.

Crash (18)

Banned by Wycombe District Council but on full view in Chesham. Don't be tempted, this story of a couple turned on by car crashes is actually a very poor movie.

Dr Dolittle (PG)

Eddie Murphy has a lot to say to the animals.

Enemy of the State (15)

Will Smith is still caught up in a high-tech espionage thing.

Hideous Kinky (15)

Kate Winslet gathers up her kids and takes them off to a life in Morocco thus escaping the hectic life of 1970s England. What's the title mean? Don't know.

Little Voice (15)

Dark and disturbing tale of a young girl who finds an escape from her shyness in her ability to mimic well-known celebrities.

Mask of Zorro (PG)

Anthony Hopkins teaches Antonio Banderas in the ways of the masked man as his homeland is threatened by the Spanish. With Catherine Zeta Jones.

Metroland (18)

The life of a group of friends living at the end of the Metropolitan Line, whose suburban lives are questioned first by the rebellious 1960s then by the punk 1970s.

Mulan (U)

Disney's animated version of the Chinese classic story about a young girl who dresses as a man in a bid to stop her father going to war.

The Parent Trap (PG)

Two twins separated at birth swap places to try to reunite their estranged parents.

Practical Magic (12)

Practically unfunny comedy with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as witchy sisters whose spell spinning brings disaster to the family.

Prince of Egypt (PG)

Ralph Fiennes and Val Kilmer are the brothers born to fight when one of them (Moses) leads the Hebrew slaves to the promised land.

Saving Private Ryan (15)

Steven Spielberg's war epic continues to fight them on the beaches (and the big screen). With Tom Hanks.

Shakespeare in Love (15)

The film's the thing. All the world's a screen and we are just actors upon it etc. Joe Fiennes is the bard who needs to fall in love to spark inspiration. Gwyneth Paltrow is his belle. Script by Tom Stoppard.

Stepmom (12)

Apparently 'mom' is American for 'mother' or 'mum'. 'Color' means 'colour' and lieutenant is pronounced 'lootenant'. Susan Sarandon watches new woman Julia Roberts creep into her kids' lives.

Very Bad Things (18)

A stag do goes horribly wrong when a stripper dies. One tragedy leads to another. With Christian Slater and Cameron Diaz.
