BABY Chelsea Galatola is a big football fan - and she doesn't even know it yet.

Her parents Czeslawa and Anthony named her after their favourite club and christened their house Stamford Bridge.

The couple, of Fennels Road, Wycombe Marsh, said they had planned to give their nine-month daughter the club title long before she was born.

Mrs Galatola, 24, said: "It was a joint decision. Since I met my husband, I have fallen in love with the club and we decided on the name before I fell pregnant.

"When Chelsea won the FA Cup, I was pregnant and that inspired me even more to name her after the club.

"She was going to be a Luca or a Ruud. We are talking about having another baby and, if we have a boy, it will be one of those names."

She added: "I bought the Stamford Bridge plaque for the house in 1996 for my husband's 30th. He is 32 and he has been a Chelsea fan since he was four years old.

"Our hallway, landing and stairs are covered with pictures of Chelsea players and our car has got all the Chelsea stuff on it. People knock on the door and ask us for spare tickets."

Chelsea's first trip to the terraces could be as early as this week. "We are thinking of taking her to the training ground to see the players and have her photo taken."

Chelsea Football Club chairman Ken Bates said he was flattered to hear the couple are such devoted fans, adding: "We are delighted to hear that their home is named Stamford Bridge - but we have no intention of playing any matches there."
