CRIME-inspired fashion student Alison Trett thrilled an audience with her first fashion collection entitled Thief.

Alison, 22, of Spinfield Mount, Marlow, showcased her collection at Southbank late last month.

The show was organised for students at Middlesex University where Alison has just completed a BA (Hons) degree in fashion.

Alison's catwalk fashions were inspired by prison and work wear and are aimed at those who require functional clothes which are practical but keep pace with fashion on the street.

Alison has an impressive work experience history behind her including time spent with The English National Opera, BBC television and Wycombe Swan Theatre.

She said: "I have always loved designing and sewing things and can remember making cushions for my grandmother when I was seven. I got into it properly when I was at Wycombe High School and had a very enthusiastic teacher."

Alison has just won a place on a one-year wardrobe mistress course at The Old Vic Theatre School in Bristol. She will take her place on the course in September before pursuing a career in fashion and costumes.
