TWO local firms have taken on new staff as part of their expansion plans:

SIMON JACOBS has rejoined office furniture makers Deanes after a six-year absence.

He takes on the new role of head of communications and marketing at the Wooburn Green company.

Mr Jacobs, who has moved from Europa Facility Services, where he was business development manager, has held sales positions at Deanes in the past.

David Stone, Deanes Furniture's managing director, explained: "Both Deanes and Simon Jacobs have developed considerably over this period and it is very exciting that we are now working together again to take full advantage of the opportunities facing the company."

Plus Point PR, in Wycombe End, Beaconsfield, has made two new appointments, bringing its total number of employees to seven.

ANNIE JANUSZEWSKI joins the agency as an account manager from Brann Marketing UK, in Bristol, where she was project controller responsible for the Orange Telecommunications account.

LUKE BURFORD, a recent first-class graduate in English Literature and American Studies, takes on the role of account executive.

Among his responsi- bilities for Plus Point PR's clients will be preparations for IPEX, the printing industry's major exhibition in September.
