In celebration of National Amateur Theatre Week, Croydon Operatic and Dramatic Association (CODA) welcomes you to Deadwood for their whipcrackin', thigh slappin' musical spectacular, Calamity Jane.

Adapted by Ronald Hamner and Phil Park from the stage play by Charles K Freeman, Calamity Jane is the story of a fast-talking cowgirl who gets a feminine makeover to try and snare Wild Bill.

Featuring famous musical numbers such as Secret Love, Deadwood Stage and Black Hills, it's a show that has fun, laughter and romance.

CODA is delighted to welcome back Nigel Kemp as director, with Keith O'Gorman as musical director.

Elaine Kingston stars as Calamity opposite Rowan Dixon as Wild Bill. Their proven on-stage chemistry is sure to light up the stage, along with the dulcet tones of Katharine Glass as Katie, who is wooed by the handsome James Klech as Lieutenant Danny Gilmartin.

Performances are from Wednesday, Ocober 27 to Saturday, October 30, at 7.45pm with matinees on Thursday, October 28, and Saturday, October 30, at the Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfield Halls. Ticket prices start at £10. For group bookings you get one free ticket for a group of 10 or more (10 for the price of nine) for all performances except Friday and Saturday evenings.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the CODA box office on 01403 780859; in writing to CODA Box Office, 57 Berrall Way, Penfold Grange, Billingshurst, West Sussex RH14 9PQ; or by email: tickets@ coda-shows.co.uk.
