DOG LOVERS will be homing in on Pinewood Studios tomorrow. The world-famous film studio is hosting the RSPCA'S Summer Fair and Dog Show. One of the main attractions will be the local heat of the RSPCA Dog of the Year show, which is open to all rescued dogs.

The fair will open at 11am when dogs can also be registered for the heats at 1.30pm. Entry to the fair is £1 with children under 12 getting in for half price.

SUMMER EDITION of Check Out The Chilterns providing a guide to play schemes, sports courses and days out locally on offer throughout the summer months, is now available at key outlets. It is free.

FREE ROWING COURSE is being offered to 12 to 15-year-old youngsters who attend schools in the area and who consider themselves overweight. Along with the rowing there's guidance on healthy eating. It is being organised at Dorney Rowing Lake from September 14 - November 8 by Joe Sammon, the district council's sport and recreation officer. The course is free and a mini-bus service is available if required. The course is specifically aimed at helping young people who find it difficult to lose weight and will offer gentle tuition on how to start rowing to get fit.

ALL SAINTS MUSIC FESTIVAL continues on Sunday when what promises to be a very noisy afternoon will take place in Oval Way with the Drumjam. Families are being invited to try their hand at over 100 types of drums from 3pm. There is a family ticket for £15 although individuals gain entrance for £7 and £5 per child.

The festival reaches a climax next Thursday when former Gayhurst pupil, Philip Fowke, who is now an international concert artist, will give a concert in the church on a specially imported Shiguru grand piano. To hear him play will cost £12 and tickets can be booked by ringing 01753 882425/883384.

ANNUAL CHURCH PICNIC for Oak End Way Methodist Church takes place following Sunday's 10.30am service conducted by Reverend John Lambert, HELEN ELLIS, SENIOR NURSE at the Misbourne Medical Centre will give a talk on health matters to the New Horizon's Group at the Methodist Church in Oak End Way on Thursday at 2.30pm.

PARISH COUNCIL has its monthly meeting scheduled for Monday evening at 8pm at the Memorial Centre. This does offer local residents the opportunity to raise issues that concern them from the continuing Tesco saga to deterring travellers.
