MAKOSI is rapidly falling out of favour with fellow nurses.

The cardiac nurse's sexual antics in the Big Brother House have shocked some people in the nursing profession and they have brought her behaviour to the attention of The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

The NMC is the standards body for nurses and midwives in the UK who maintains the register for practicing nurses and midwives.

An NMC spokesman said: "We have received complaints about Makosi's behaviour bringing the nursing profession into disrepute.

"We understand there is a petition going around because people are unhappy about what she has been seen doing on television. It only takes one complaint for us to launch an investigation, but it is far too early to say whether or not she will be struck off our register."

The NMC launched an investigation two weeks ago after a nurse wrote a letter of complaint. In the next couple of months the NMC committee will decide whether or not there is a case to be heard against Makosi.

If the case is heard a panel of three people will meet in public to decide her future ability to practice.

There have also been claims that Makosi has been sacked from her nursing job at Wycombe hospital. These claims are now proving to be false.

A report in the Sunday Mirror claimed the 24-year-old Zimbabwean had been sacked by hospital bosses for her "outrageous BB antics," following a particularly saucy swimming pool incident, involving fellow Housemate Anthony.

The claim was apparently based on insider information from a hospital employee, who is quoted as saying: "At first bosses were prepared to turn a blind eye to her behaviour. But as the weeks have gone on, she has become increasingly outrageous. She set an appalling example for the nursing profession-and is something the hospital simply will not tolerate."

Speaking to Freetime last Monday, a hospital spokesman said: "I can tell you categorically that Makosi has not been sacked by Wycombe Primary Care Trust. She resigned in order to take up her place on the show. "
