The day I had been waiting for had finally arrived. Thursday, August 25, the day GCSE results came out!
Like many others in the same situation, I was very nervous and worried. However, when I saw my results, the anxiety soon turned to happiness. I achieved ten A*-C GCSE passes and was very pleased! I was also very happy for my cousin Irfan who also achieved all ten passes and who now has a place at John Hampden Grammar School.
It was a great moment to experience, knowing that the past five years of working hard had paid off. I achieved my ten passes at Highcrest, which is not a grammar school, so I felt exceptionally pleased that I achieved grammar success there. Overall, the results in Highcrest were exceptional, proving that Highcrest is indeed a great school to study at.
The results at Cressex School were also fantastic results you would expect from a grammar school. I can now say it doesn't matter whether you study at a grammar school or not. The results from Highcrest and Cressex prove this. It depends on the student whether or not they are really willing to work hard.
To all the students who took their GCSE exams this year, I wish you all good luck for the future.
