A PAEDOPHILE who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl was caught when he tried to buy child sex videos from an undercover policeman.
Saied Tabien, 45, who lived in High Wycombe, has been jailed for three years after admitting to seven counts of intercourse with a 12-year-old girl.
He admitted having sex with a girl under 13 and a further count of indecent assault on a female.
He was sentenced at Kingston Crown Court last week.
Tabien, from Wimbledon, South London, was caught last year when he tried to buy child sex films from an undercover cop.
He then revealed to the officer that he had sex with a 12-year-old girl more than a decade before.
He gave the officer enough information to track his victim down and bring charges.
Judge Martin Binning, sentencing, said Tabien was in his 30s when the girl was 12.
The judge told him: "You were deliberately grooming her with a view to having sex, which was what you achieved."
He added: "You have a predilection for young girls and pose a high risk to children.
"A custodial sentence is unavoidable."
Tabien watched videos with the girl at her home in south London, and sometimes gave her whisky before having sex with her.
Tabien later moved to High Wycombe but kept in touch with his victim by letter.
When she was 15, he went to see her again and although she told him she just wanted to be friends, he asked her for oral sex and indecently assaulted her, the court was told.
He had only recently been released from prison after serving a nine-month sentence for inciting the distribution of indecent images of children.
Tabien was also put on the sex offenders' register and banned from working with children.
