THIS EVENING at 8pm at the Gamekeeper's Lodge in Bellingdon Road the AGM of Chesham Museum will take place. All those interested in becoming involved are invited.

Over 1,300 people have visited the museum since it was opened a year ago. The museum wishes to increase their display area and welcomes donations of objects, time and money. Sue Gordon is the chairman of the museum.

POND PARK Environmental Group are holding a litter pick tomorrow from 10am to 12.30pm. Volunteers are to meet at The Green in Upper Belmont. Residents are asked not to park on the road as the streets are being swept.

DAVID ATKINS, for many years associated with Chesham Football Club, has died aged 55. He helped to establish the Chesham United Supporters Club, he also served as a Trustee of the Ken Denham Trust in Chesham and was involved with Chesham Youth Club. In 1989 he was chairman of Chesham Round Table.

£1,500 HAS BEEN RAISED by members and friends of the South Bucks branch of Motor Neurone Disease Association following a walk around Pednor. A total of 40 people went on the walk. There are currently 21 known sufferers in South Bucks.

Sue Nieland is tutor for seven meetings starting on October 4 with "Today's World from a Psychological Perspective", at the White Hill Centre, 10am to midday.

This course will look at how psychology can help us understand some of the issues that challenge today's world. Topics will include understanding mental disorders, looking at why we conform and obey and how much our behaviour is a product of genes or environment.

ALL ABOARD and Sunday, October 2 is the date for the 17th Bus Running Day. From 10am to 5pm a variety of preserved vehicles will be operating with departures every five minutes from Amersham Station.

This year will mark the 40th anniversary of the unique low height double-deck withdrawn from route 336 from Chesham to Watford. This route is still running today.

At least three of these vehicles (only 76 were built from 1950 to 1952) will return and operate a special service over route 336.

At least 22 buses will be in service (no fares charged) many of which are over 40 years old.

This is a popular day out for all ages.
