AGM of Churches Together in the Wye Valley takes place in the Methodist Church on Monday at 7.45pm for an 8pm start.

COFFEE MORNING next Friday, September 30 in the Methodist Church Hall is part of the Macmillan Cancer Care World's Biggest Coffee Morning from 10am to midday. Everyone will be welcome to enjoy home made cakes and the bring-and-buy stall.

FOOTBALL and the 1st XI bowed out of the FA Vase when they lost 1-2 at home to Gorleston with James Suarez scoring the goal. Tomorrow they are back in league action when they entertain Wembley in Wilks Park at 3pm. On Tuesday they travel the short distance to Chalfont St Peter for an Associate Members Trophy match at 7.45pm.

The Youth Team are at home to Chalfont St Peter on Monday at 7.45pm in the Ryman Westview Cup.

THE GOLF CLUB President's Day raised £655, which President John Rouse donated to his charity, the local Age Concern Day Centre.

FLACKWELL HEATH and Loudwater Age Concern Day Centre celebrated their 21st birthday with a dance in the Community Centre, where around 80 supporters and friends had a very enjoyable evening dining and dancing to the band Legacy. The evening was organised by the Day Centre founder, Nancie Ross, helped by members of the organisation, and the event raised £500.

DOOR-TO-DOOR canvassing on behalf of St John Ambulance will take place over the next few weeks by members of a company called Wessex & Partner. All callers will be wearing St John Ambulance logo T-shirts and will carry ID cards.
