PUPILS from a Marlow school enjoyed a visit to the Free Press offices in Loudwater last week to see where their paper comes from and how it is made.
A group from St Peter's Catholic Primary School, in Prospect Road, met the editorial team on Tuesday and learnt about the different roles within a newsroom from reporters, to the sub editors, photographers and copy tasters.
Free Press chief photographer Jason Dawson was a real hit with the kids, snapping photos of them and showing them how he uploads the images on to our database. One lucky student got to take control of the camera.
The children crowded round the chief sub editor James Young's desk. The 26-year-old showed how pictures are laid out on a news page and transformed into the familiar format they see in their paper every week.
