VOLUNTEERS are being sought for a new charity shop due to open in Holmer Green next month.
The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home is marking its 25th year of providing 24-hour care for terminally-ill patients in the Chiltern district by opening a new shop in Pond Approach in mid-May.
Members of the charity, which has cared for more than 10,000 patients since it was founded, will be at an Open Day to talk to would-be volunteers later this month.
Jane Carruthers, Voluntary Services Assistant with the Hospice, said: “Volunteering is a great way to meet people, make new friends, learn new skills and have fun. It is also a good opportunity to join the Iain Rennie team and help a respected local charity.
“It really doesn’t matter if you don’t have a huge amount of time to give us. Just one morning or afternoon a week can make a real difference.”
Anyone interested in volunteering at the shop is invited to attend an Open Day in the Baptist Church Hall in Holmer Green from 10am-1pm on Wednesday April 28.
